Begin before clarity
The path can teach you what the starting line cannot.
I started walking because standing still was no longer working. The miles became recovery, clarity, service, and a way to lead by moving first.
3,146Miles walked in one year
I had quit drinking and was rebuilding my life. Walking gave the pressure somewhere to go. One manageable step became another, then a rhythm, then a year that changed my mind, my health, and my sense of purpose.
I did not walk 3,146 miles because I already knew where they would lead. I learned the direction by moving.
It is a way to return agency to a person who feels stuck. It turns noise into rhythm, intention into evidence, and isolation into an opening for connection.
Walking also changed how I understand leadership. The first visible step matters. It makes the next step easier for someone else to take.
The mileage ended. The practice became the through line in everything I build.
The path can teach you what the starting line cannot.
Small steps become evidence. Evidence changes what feels possible.
Shared motion makes room for conversation, trust, and belonging.
A step becomes service when it leaves the person or place around you stronger.
The MOVE. Community grows from the same belief: movement changes people, and people who move together can change a place. The work starts with participation, not perfection.
Choose a direction. Take one honest step. Let movement tell you what comes next.
